Gold rush series ‘Klondike’ set to premiere on Discovery Channel (VIDEO) : "Miniseries ‘Klondike’ produced by Ridley Scott will hit the small screen in the US and Canada on January 20, 21 and 22, the Discovery Channel has announced.
The miniseries, based on Charlotte Gray’s novel Gold Diggers: Striking it Rich in the Klondike, is set during the end of the 19th century in Canada’s Yukon territory, not far from the border with Alaska, which was the setting of Charlie Chaplin’s classic “The Gold Rush”.
The story follows two childhood friends, Bill Haskell and Byron Epstein, who set out for the west, where adventure and danger await them at every turn."
